Terry A. Davis (1969 - 2018). Rest in peace!

Terry A Davis was an American programmer who was schizophrenic. He was well accomplished academically and created an operating system called TempleOS ran by his own coding language HolyC. HolyC was a variation of C.

This operating system faced some criticism from other programmers because it didn't conform to the trend's of computer science. One of the main purposes of Temple OS is that Terry claimed he could use it to speak to god. This was also critcized. Terry claimed that god could speak to him through a random number generator that he implemented in his OS. Divine powers manipulating randomness is a concept that humans have held for awhile with tarot and other forms of divination, so I don't think he is too far off. A lot of Terry's life is public due to the time he spent on the internet. Towards the end of his life he was homeless living out of his car until August 11th, 2018 where he was unfortunately hit by a train. We don't know if it was an accident, a successful attempt at suicide or murder by the CIA.
